Firefighters Dance:
The 57th annual Middletown Fire Fighters dance was held on February 18th, 2012 at the Middletown Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Center. This year’s attendance was approximately 400. The International Association of Firefighters (IAFF) Local 336 uses profits to support various local activities and charities such as: Middletown Youth football, soccer, baseball, softball, Make a Wish Foundation, The Luella Thompson Dream Center and Habitat For Humanity.

Sister City Visit (Osaki City, Japan)
The Sister City delegation from Osaki City, Japan will visit Middletown March 24-28, 2012. We have given Council a schedule of the events: the welcome dinner will be on March 24th hosted by Mr. & Mrs. David Schiavone, location TBD. The Japanese Consulate from Detroit will be in attendance, as well as Representative Pete Beck. She has also invited other state and federal officials. Other events include: March 25th Grease matinee at Middletown High School-immediately following will be a meet and greet in cafeteria- approx. 4ish. March 27th-all are attending the Rotary Luncheon-Middletown Area Senior Citizens- 11:45 am. MINIMAL CHARGE for lunch. Mayor, Council and Department Heads are invited to all of the activities, but please notify Nadine if you plan to attend.
