The city’s 2011 Employee Development Academy (EDA) is scheduled to begin April 28th and run through November. The purpose of the Academy is to train those employees who are currently in supervisory roles to ensure that they are successful in their city role. Topics covered include performance evaluations and other city-related supervisory topics. It is important to ensure that our supervisors are properly trained: risk management for the city organization, in addition to benefitting the supervisor and those employees he/she supervises. The EDA is a very cost effective method to provide much needed supervisory training to many employees.
