That's interesting that they would just up and close without a sale or anything. Does Anyone know if they plan on returning in the future or will their store be up for sale in the mall? |

Dillard's inst the only place that is closed. Notice in the photo, the LensCrafters building is empty too. |

Took my daughter to get her pics taken at Sears. Afterward we took a stroll though the mall. One lap around and realized the dozers are probably laying in wait somewhere to put it out of its misery. Not surprised Dillards is pulling out. The good news is Middletown Wal Mart is expanding. |

I find it interesting that the South side of SR122 is thriving and the North side is dying. Gives me hope that once the mall is dead and dozed that things can get better. |

Whatever happened to the plans to make changes to the Towne Mall like what is happening to the Dayton Mall? I think it would work here too. |

I too have worked at the mall. It is sad to see it go to the dumps, but when stores leave that creates problems for the mall. I once heard that major stores like Old Navy and American Eagle will not even look at a mall until it is 75% full. Instead of trying to keep there business, they go out and get Traders’ World type stores that no one wants to shop at. Poor mall and business owners! |

Ahhh..this is the final straw of the Towne Mall's demise. With crappy stores like Elder Bearmen and Dollar Tree, not to mention all those junk-peddling here for 3 months type of thing, I predict this to be a deadmall. Sad, I nce broke a candle with my friend in that Dillards. I was also creeped out by the bathroom,(shiny stalls, loud automatic flush toilets.)I suppose I dont miss it all that much after all... |
