Jason Krause, the coach from Monroe, Ohio will be the new Middie head football coach this fall. Krause led Monroe to two semifinal games in three seasons.
Last week, Princiapl Dennis Newell said: "We are extremely pleased to announce that Jason Krause has been offered the Middletown High School Head Football Coaching position, pending board approval at Monday’s Board meeting. His long-term commitment to youth and deep understanding of football will serve our program well. He has high expectations for all student athletes both academically and athletically."
Tonight's school board vote was a bit of a surprise. School Board President Greg Tyus was expected to vote no. It was Vice President Katie McNeil's "no Vote" that came as a surprise.
McNeil voted not for "a lot of reasons," according to Megan Gildow of the Middletown Journal.
