August 9th the Cincinnati Shakespeare Company performed for the Monroe Community Park. They performed the comedy/fantasy of ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream.’ There were only six actors but they performed for a crowd of approximately 200 that came out to watch. The actors kept the audience laughing and anxious about what was going to happen next.
The magical sprites would use the audience to hide from time to time from the other characters. Since it was little advertised it was free to go and watch the performance. The concession stand was open and had food and drinks. There were bleachers but other than that blankets or your own chairs were the free seats. A big thank you goes to the event coordinators for doing such a great job.
