Middfest International proudly paid homage to one of Middletown’s heroes, James “Choppy” Saunders at a tribute April 26th, 2008 at the Manchester Inn. Many area dignitaries and political officials as well as friends and family were in attendance and spoke and presented Choppy with awards, citations, bells and memories. Middfest International has started a legacy scholarship fund in Choppy’s honor and has already received many donations. A complimentary copy of the entire two hour event video will be sent to donors to Choppy’s fund. TV Middletown will be scheduling the entire video for presentation in the near future.
