Charity Motorcycle Ride Returns Aug. 1
Wednesday, July 29, 2020 9:30:00 AM - Middletown Ohio

Sixth Annual Highway to Help Charity Motorcycle Ride Returns Aug. 1

MIDDLETOWN, Ohio (July 29, 2020) - The motorcycle ride Highway to Help returns for its sixth year on Saturday, Aug. 1, with a few modifications, but the same mission to help families in need during the holidays.

Organized by Atrium Medical Center employees, proceeds from the three-hour, covered bridge ride benefit Adopt-A-Family during the holidays. Last year, money raised at Highway to Help assisted nearly 100 children, who received gifts and other needed items the local families could not have otherwise afforded to buy.

"With the financial pressures the coronavirus pandemic has put on many families, our neighbors will have a greater need this coming holiday season," said Jimmy Bruggeman, an Atrium Medical Center employee who has organized Highway to Help since its inception in 2015. "Supporters of this ride will help make sure no family goes without this December."

To reduce physical contact at this year's event, the Kids Festival and children's bicycle events will not be held, and a lunch will not be served at the end of the ride. All riders are also encouraged to pre-register online.

Pre-registration can be completed online at Highway.GiveSmart.com. Donations, T-shirt, raffle ticket and bandana purchases can also be made on the website. The cost of registration is $20 per motorcycle.

Motorcycles depart the Atrium Medical Center campus, One Medical Center Drive, in Middletown, at noon. The scenic ride ends in Trenton.

For more information about Highway to Help, contact Atrium Medical Center Foundation at (513) 974-5144 or email foundation@atriummedcenter.org
