Tom Newman from Butler Tech recognizes and awards Middletown High School students for outstanding excellence in computer networking and other technical skills.
Tom Newman teaches Network Systems Tech Prep at D Russell Lee Career Technology Center in Hamilton in which students learn about networking, computer programming, web applications, and multimedia. While enrolled in this program, students will compete both locally and across the nation against many other similar technical programs.
Just recently these students have returned from a national event which was located in the state of Nevada. During this event, 16 students from D Russell Lee traveled from Ohio to Nevada for a chance to compete with some of the nation’s best in computer technology. During this event the students from D Russell Lee either placed top 10, or received the great honor of being an Ambassador Torch Award recipient. This highly acclaimed award was given only to 510 students across the nation, in which there were 43,819 students eligible for this award.
We would like to congratulate these Middletown High School students for their great accomplishments and their strife for excellence.
