| Butler County Sheriff Jones Not Running For Congress |

Sheriff Richard K. Jones has been apart of the Butler County Sheriff Department since January 2nd, 2005. Since his four years of service, many people believed he would run for the seat of U.S. House Minority Leader in Congress, a seat currently occupied by Republican John Boehner from West Chester Township.
Jones, also a Republican, announced today via a Twitter message that he will not be running for the Congress position in the next election. "I have decided not to turn in my petition for congress. This is not the time. Congressman's office has been notified this date. Sheriff Jones." That was Sheriff Jones post on Twitter today. Jones has yet to go into further detail about why he is not running.
