The Butler County is all volunteer work. They spend most of their time working on different gardens and gardening education projects. They provide speakers for local groups and plant gardens throughout the county. For example John Moser who is a former member of the Butler County Common Pleas judge and current member of the Butler County Master Gardeners Club, was landscaping the flower bed outside the county administration building.
The gardens usually have a theme. They are herbs or vegetables or attracting butterflies, they must also be educational in nature. Two of the biggest projects the Master Gardeners are involved in are the Spring Garden Market and the Farm Show exhibit.
The master Gardener educational gardens can be found through out the county. Some of the places they are found include Cranberry, Harmony, Mars, Seven Fields, Saxonburg and Slippery Rock.
