One year after the fire that closed Middletown’s Lonestar Steak House, the restaurant chain is nearing completion. MiddletownUSA.com stopped by the construction site to see how things were going and if there was an official date for the opening.
Larry Jacobs the site superintendent told MiddletownUSA.com that construction will be done in the next few weeks with the furniture arriving on August 19, 2009. Lonestar’s corporate office will be visiting the site to discuss an opening day early next week.
Jacobs went on to say that “people are curious to know when we are opening, people driving by stop all the time and ask.”
Lonestar closed back on August 8, 2008 due to a fire that happened about 1:00am, it took crews from Middletown, Monroe, and Franklin over 7 hours to completely douse the flames. The cause of the fire is still unknown.
