ADVISORY FOR CITIZENS OF MIDDLETOWN
Several questions have arisen due to the power outage and wind damage from yesterday.
Here is information you should be aware of:
TRAFFIC SIGNALS
When approaching an intersection that is not working, stop before proceeding though it.
Exercise extreme caution.
WATER SYSTEM
The City of Middletown water system is safe and operating normally.
TRASH SERVICE/DEBRIS
Rumpke is out in limited force for trash pick up. Debris can be taken to the curb for
curbside pick up provided it is in manageable sizes. No bundling required. Rumpke
service will be delayed but put trash out on your normal pick up day.
FIRE SERVICES
Medical oxygen issues are best addressed by contacting patient vendor. If that is not
possible, call 9-1-1 for assistance.
FOOD AND HEALTH ISSUES
Food in refrigerators is questionable due to extended outage. Discard or cook any meat
and dairy products immediately. Food in freezers will last up to 48 hours if not opened
frequently. If food begins to thaw, cook or use immediately.
BUS SERVICE
The Transit System is operating today, however, they are on a delayed schedule
