MIDDLETOWN — A Middletown school district bus carrying nine students was hit from behind this morning, but no injuries were reported, according to police and school officials. 

The bus was rear-ended by a pick-up truck about 7:15 a.m. at the intersection of Lefferson Road and Mount Vernon Drive, officials said. 

Aboard the bus were two Verity Middle School students and seven students from Middletown Preparatory and Fitness Academy, according to Debbie Alberico, school district spokeswoman. 

“It was a fender bender,” Alberico said, noting the accident was not weather-related. Another bus transported the students to their destinations, she said. 

Now you know what $98,000/year (I think at last count) will do for you and what one has to do to earn that $98,000, taxpayers!
