Hello All!!!

Some of you may have noticed my absence on this board over the last few months. Others may have been happy to see no posts from me! (lol) I've had some computer issues that kept me from posting on here or being able to keep current with the happenings in our fair city. Having read the recent topics and issues facing this city, I have concluded that sometimes, ignorance IS bliss!!!

I have decided, therefore; to adopt the suggestion of our mayor at his State of the City address earlier in the year. I am moving out of town!!! Not far, but far enough not to be in the city any longer. It seems that my computer malfunction happened at the proper time because I probably would have suffered a stroke or heart attack reading some of the posts that I have missed the last couple of months. This city seems to have gone from controversy to controversy with lightening speed!!!  Since my voice has often been one of "dissent" , I don't think I will be missed by the "powers that be". For those of you who are struggling against the decisions of those in power, GOOD LUCK!!! Based on what I've read since I've been back on line, you'll need it!!!

Sorry to see you leave us TonyB. I, for one, will stay onboard the Titanic as we steam steadily toward the iceberg. My dream is to stay as long as it takes to enjoy the vision that Marty K., Judy G., Les L. and company have for the city.......as Mike P. mentions....that sleepy, quaint little town of about 20,000 people, stuck here in the middle of all the growth, letting time (and progress) pass us by. We will all "sing in the sunshine and we'll laugh everyday" (lyrics from a 60's song, by the way) We will be the next Gratis/Red Lion/Trenton (only with the excessive poverty). Ahh, for a group of competent people to run things.....where shall I find them? Nowhere to be found in our city at the moment.
