: )

I sure could use a good football game for the PC. But I don't care for "arcade style play". Meaning I just prefer to call the plays and see what happens.

Any advice?

Randy Sue- it is nice to have a dream about your Bengals. With their talent, the only way they may win is on the Playstation. Hermes, Randy Jane is in a dream world. Time for you to travel the reality trail and pick a winner before the playoffs start. Randy's hopes have been reduced to playing video games to make his Bengals appear to look like a football team.

Yes Vet it has come to that. My video game is the only way I can make my teak win. But it is my team and I will never waver in my love and support for them. Tonight we will smash the Steelers and the whole country will become believers in the Orange and Black!!!!

It could get ugly tonight randy. Your team could go to 2 and 6. Might be better if the Bengals did challenge the Steelers to a Playstation contest rather than actually playing the game. The whole nation will be watching your Bengals. Wonder if they will embarrass their fans again? One thing that is a plus...the game starts at 8:30. Should be over by 10, allowing people who have to get up early a decent night's sleep.

Ouch! 2 and 6 with Indy coming up on the road. Randy's Carsy-led Bengals made a comeback but.......not close enough for the win. As always, I was right there with you guys just a cheerin' and a hollerin' hoping that they would come close. Ochostinko only made one catch toward the end of the game. B O..correction....T O had 141 yards in receptions. Carsy sacked a number of times. 2 and 7 coming up Bengal fans. But....I was with you guys all the way. What is your new team choice Hermes. No need in developing an ulcer watching randy's team. Time to start enjoying your Sundays again rooting for a potential playoff team, right?

I wont lie I turned it off  before the end of the 1st and looked at ESPN on my phone before bed and noticed that we were attempting a come back so I watched updates on my phone till the end. We were not embarrassed but still I only want a win.

That's alright randy, Marvin Lewis told the players they didn't have to watch the game if they didn't want to either. As I understand it, half the city turned the game off after the 1st quarter and the rest went to bed at halftime. Don't feel bad that you tuned it out early. Probably better for ones mental health anyway, right?

At this point I want to see them keep losing and get a high draft pick. Maybe we can get a new QB, I agree Palmer needs to go. I also think TO will be gone next year when he needs to be giving a little more money to stay. I have been impressed with this year.

Are there any good QB's coming out this year? The Bengals have a great history with drafting QB's, remember Akili Smith. Man was he a great player......to see leave!!

Jon Kitna may be available from the Cowboys. Looks like they're beginning the fire sale with Wade Phillips gone now. How about trying Palmer's brother for a game or two? Buffalo would probably trade their qb for almost anyone. Just trying to help the Bengals here, randy lou! Time for Marvin to go after this season too, isn't it? Might want to bring back Davy Shula or Brucie Coslet.

randy joe and Hermes- Carsy's been out for two days with a sore shoulder from a sack taken in last weeks game. You now have lost a starting offensive tackle to a broken foot and the Colts are coming up Sunday. Oh boy!

Posted By: VietVet
Date Posted: Nov 14 2010 at 4:30pm
Well 2 and 7. Carsy's still throwin' interceptions. What's the deal with Terrell Owens? Just stopped on that pass play, then didn't even make an attempt to make a tackle after the interception. Poor attitude that teammates can see. Cancer on team moral. Carsy a bit miffed at T.O. you think? Alot of talk in Cincy about T.O.'s effort coming up. Lewis will defend him though as he always does. He needs to go after this year. Ochostinko made some fairly nice catches. Still not enough. Buffalo up next. Probably 3 and 7 after next week. Then some more losses.

How 'bout cha Hermes? Ready to dump 'em yet? Randy, ready for basketball to start since your pro football season is practically over?

Sad day in Bengal land. The way the Bengals played today was a total disgrace to the NFL and fans. I'm 100% disgusted with Palmer & Marvin. Owens needs a blanket party from his team mates,he threw that game. Can't say much more for Ocho,he is playing like a spoiled 7 year old.

Kudos to Indy ! Some nice plays on their part. Of course Palmer helped....a lot. Angry

randy lou- Hermes..... 31-14 lead over Buffalo at half time. Ends up with a Buffalo win in the second half? Too many interceptions by Carsy again. They gave up in the second half. No points in the second half? 2 and 8? Crap! Who dey think gonna see another Bengals win? Jets are up next at New York I think. Ouch! Yohansome and Laugh'em very critical during second half. No one in Bengals land is happy, leaving the stadium early. Good entertainment upcoming with Laugh'em and the locker room report.

49-31 ?!!!!!! How do you lose when your ahead by 2-3 TD's ??

I have a feeling Lewis & Palmer will be looking for jobs next year and if Mike Brown doesn't ditch both of'em he needs his friggin head examined.

Buffalo scores 35 points in the second half....how pathetic.

7 year old boy allowed to decide custody case because of violence in the home.

Cincinnati Oh. (AP) - A seven year old boy was at the center of a Hamilton County courtroom drama yesterday when he challenged a court ruling over who should have custody of him. The boy has a history of being beaten by his parents and the judge initially awarded custody to his aunt, in keeping with child custody law and regulation requiring that family unity be maintained to the highest degree reasonably possible.

The boy surprised the court when he proclaimed that his aunt beat him more than his parents and he adamantly refused to live with her. When the judge then suggested that he live with his grandparents, the boy cried and said that they also beat him.

After considering the remainder of the immediate family and learning that domestic violence was apparently a way of life among them, the judge took the unprecedented step of allowing the boy to propose who should have custody of him.

After two recesses to check legal references and confer with the child welfare officials, the judge granted temporary custody to the Cincinnati Bengals professional football team, whom the boy firmly believes are not capable of beating anyone.

About this time of the Bengals season, when all the complaining and the shoulda, woulda, coulda's have been discussed, we will hear the continuous, repetitious cry of " Wait until next year", "We gotta get rid of (insert name here) and pick up (insert name here) and the oft-used phrase, "I'll never buy another ticket ever again as long as Mike Brown owns the team" There will be some lonesome cries in the night that "next year, we make the playoffs and go to the Super Bowl.....man"    Meanwhile, I will continue to see the diehards wearing their Bengals jackets (they can be obtained, by the way, at the local Goodwill store...Goodwill has said they will pay you to come and grab one- and see an occasional Bengal sticker on a car window, justifiably torn, tattered and faded just as the hopes have been for the fans of that franchise. It is sad to see people hanging on, after all these years, to a team that was doomed years ago to exist in mediocrity at best and destined for the opening act for a real, talented team.

Marvin & Palmer have to go,no two ways about that. But I do not think Mike Brown is serious enough about football & to damn greedy to ever get the players and coaching it takes to sustain a good team.

With the way Marvin and Palmer are acting I can only assume money is the problem and they are just waiting for their contracts to expire. Either that or Mike Brown has ordered them to throw games because he is betting against them. Something is horribly wrong that we can all agree on.

Even with a first round draft pick, the Bengals will find a way to get him hurt, have him hold out a year due to contract negotiations, finally get him in camp, reporting late, and fail to develop him, trade him and let another team make him a super star who comes back and has a career day against those same Bengals. How many times has that happened since 1968? I have never thought the Bengals knew how to develop talent as well as most NFL teams.

Posted By: VietVet
Date Posted: Dec 12 2010 at 4:09pm
Ouch! (again)- after the first quarter, the Bengals quit playing. 34 yard of rushing, 3 int's - 2 for touchdowns. Carsy P. still not effective. Has accounted for more points for the opponents with his interceptions than Benson or Ocheesinkhole has in offense for the Bengals. Up next, Cleveland at Cincy. Might be a win. Meanwhile 2 and 11. Preparing to listen to Davy L. down in the locker room while watching the 4PM games. Ken Broo on now wondering what's next. Talking about the Steelers being what the Bengals want to be when they grow up. Marvin looking disinterested on the sidelines. Chaos in Mikey Brownland.

Old Mickie Singletary doesn't know how to win in Frisco does he? Bengals would be better off with Tom Coughlin-former Giants coach or the former Vikings coach, wouldn't they? How about bringing back the old Colts coach, Tony Dungee? Hey, there's always Wade Philipps.

Bring back Dave Shula! Bring back Brucie Coslet......Dick LeBeau! Give 'em another chance! Marvin's got them right there at 4 and 12. That would be where they were during the Coslet, Shula, LeBeau days, right? And, they would be cheap and that would make Mike Brown happy!

I think LeBeau would rather stay in Pittsburgh as Defensive Coordinator. That's his niche. Not as head coach.

OK, saw Mike Brown and Marvy Lewis on the sports portion of the news last night. Mercy is Mikey Brown one boring individual when he speaks. Sounded more like a eulogy for a funeral than a press conference. Looks like Marvin will be here at least another two years. Changes are coming in player personnel and in coaching but nothing in the front office was mentioned. Mike Brown seemed to indicate that things were humming along with his team. Total denial of reality from the owner. Marvin still doesn't look happy. Don't think Brown will give him the control he wants and needs to make it a success.

Easier schedule for next year. Alot of weak teams to play. They should go at least 8 and 8 with the easy schedule of losing teams. I can just hear the fans yelling "Super Bowl baby!" Comical (and sad to see so many people out of touch with reality)

I'd prefer to be Director of the towel boys for the players if you guys don't mind. or, in charge of gathering up the empty Gatorade bottles during and after the game. Maybe a Supervisors slot or Asst. DIErectors slot on that, you think? Heck, I wouldn't mind the job of getting Mike Brown his snacks and drinks during the game. I'm thinking a GM position on that for $250,000/year. 10/4? I'd go for Director of assessing the talent for this team but there isn't any to evaluate. Would be a dead-end job with no hope.

Bratkowski is gone......Mikey Brown and Marvin cut him loose after 10 years. Why? The offense was doing so well under the Bratter. Two rumors that are noteworthy. Rumor 1.... the Bengals will bring in, as candidates for the offensive coordinator, none other than two former coaches by the names of Bruce Coslet and Dave Shula. Brown referred to their innovative play calling as head coach and their dedication to a winning tradition.

Rumor 2......Marvin Lewis and Mikey Brown have made the Super Bowl mandatory viewing for all Bengal players. Concentration will be on studying the Steelers. The purpose of the exercise to to instill a winning attitude and to learn the basics of the game of football such as helmet placement- opening facing forward and where to stand during the game. (sidelines-preferably your side of the field) Emphasis for Carsy Palmer will be to identify a player on the field to throw the ball to-preferably one in the same uniform as his. This may take a little longer to correct than the other issues. The defensive coordinator will be instructed to re-educate the defense to correct the constant problem of tackling while looking out the earhole of the helmet. Again, helmet placement has been an issue with the defense as well.
