As of today HUD has yet to announce Neighborhood Stabilization Program - Round Two approved grant applications.  In the case of Middletown, $19,000,000 was requested.

Previous information from Capitol Beltway insiders indicated that this funding announcement would be made by October 17.  Now, it's likely that funding awards have been "delayed" pending the outcome of tomorrow's U.S. House of Representatives vote on the Obamacare health legislation.

In the event that the $19,000,000 NSP-2 grant application is approved by HUD in the next few weeks, the City of Middletown will have nearly $2,000,000 in additional administrative funding.  Will this allow Debbi Fish, Dennis Rose, Tom Huiett and Skip Batten to keep their jobs with the Community Revitalization Department?

What happened to the funds that the city obtained from the American Resource and Recovery Act that were to do similar things (i.e. spruce up houses in distressed neighborhoods, etc.)?
