Chief Building Official Larry Tuttle says that  the City is experiencing scams due to the 2300 home improvement letters they sent out.  In part the Press Release Said:

"The completion of the work is the responsibilty of the property owner.  However businesses and contractors may attempt to contact residents to solicit repair and rehabilitation work.  These businesses and/or contractors are not representatives of the City of Middletown and they have not been contracted  to inspect or provide services for any residential property.

Why would this be an issue? How would the contractors have obtained contact information for people with maintenance issues?

To Rick McCrabb -

Will you or Ed Richter publish a similar expose regarding my recent "RESIGNATION" as Community Development Administrator for the City of Middletown? I continue to wait for the truth to be told.
