We were driving by tonight and the place (I mean the Rt 122 restaurant) had a sign that showed a different name than Bullwinkle's, and was marked "closed."

We went there a total of perhaps two or three times and we wrote it off. Once right after they opened in 2007 and again in 2008, and maybe one other time. We both thought the food was just OK but the service was "we don't know what the hell we're doing" type frustrating - the servers took forever, and the seating was in a weird location in their dining room that wasn't private or comfortable.  Basically it sucked.

The place mainly seemed to draw in lots of loudmouthed drinkers. I guess their priority was the bar service and not so much the food.

Looks like Consolidated has also closed their doors.

They lost their liquor license and yes the service was not so good. Nothing like the Bulwinkles in Miamisburg, which is a very nice place.

So....businesses continue to fold around town while the city building occupants ignore that fact and concentrate on the Pendleton artsy theme for downtown and the "Main St." downtown Program. Nice prioritizing on their part. Trying to understand here. Let's see... let the outlying business areas around town become vacant and decay while we attack the inner city/downtown (that no one is interested in- except a small band of gypsy artists and is out of the way) for re-development????? Make sense to any of you folks? OR..... do we concentrate on filling the outlying stores that would do the people more good and is more convenient with business and work on the downtown area as a secondary priority? (with a real theme of viable businesses with the arts in a support role)

They lost their liquor license and the partner from the Miamisburg store pulled out.

Looks like they are reorganzing/reopening under the Buckeyes name.

The Middletown operation was sub par to the Miamisburg location.

I thought they had pretty much shut down with the exception of the cell phone portion of their business.  I had heard they sold operations to Staples?

They may have closed down the cell phone ops as well (located in Kittyhawk) with the opening of the new Verizon store over by Meijer.

Consolidated sold out their Office supplies operation to Staples several years ago and operated their cell phone operation under the Consolidated name in KittyHawk for the last few years, that is now closed also.

And I believe that Consolidated dealt specifically with Verizon.

Verizon has opened a new corporate store on an outlet parcel near Meijers.

Bullwinkles use to give 10% of the profits to Middie Athletics after the  games, and also hosted the coaches show. They stopped. A friend of mine has son's that have a band called Farewell Fisher. The boys played at Bullwinkles at least once a month and packed the house. Not just the bar, but the dining area as well. Bullwinkles finally told them they could not play anymore because they could not get people to work those nights!! Sounds kinda of crazy. Maybe there was some mismanagement going on. Guess we will never know.
