I am sorry this is late notice for tomorrow Sunday April 7, 2019. Rededication of the Miami and Erie Canal Marker and the reopening of the Canal Museum. After Months of Cleaning, Painting, and Reorganizing, The Middletown Historical Society Canal Museum Locktenders House will open Sunday April 7, 2019 at 1:00 PM with a ceremony to rededicate the Historical Miami and Erie Canal marker that was found after years of being lost due to an auto accident at its location then in the Lakeside Park between Verity Parkway and Clark Street. The Sign was located last September in the City Garage. A new post was ordered with donations from generous donors in Middletown and will be revealed at the rededication. Historian Roger Miller will be our guest speaker. The Canal Museum will be open each Sunday from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm, April 7 through October 27, 2019. Please stop by and see us.
