2008 Ohio Election Highlights

   Ohio Supreme Court - Both Justice Maureen O'Connor and Justice Evelyn Stratton easily won re-election and helped prevent a takeover by activist judges. 
Ohio Senate - NFIB/Ohio SAFE Trust candidates won 100% of their elections while Republicans continue to hold a 21-12 majority.  Senate President Bill Harris (R-Ashland) is expected to retain his post as leader of the upper chamber.

Ohio House - Democrats scored a major victory in capturing a majority of seats in the Ohio House of Representatives.  Democrats now hold a 53-46 majority where State Rep. Armond Budish (D-Beachwood) is expected to be Speaker of the House for the 128^thGeneral Assembly.
