And just where does it end for Bishop Pringle and people who have the same opinion? Fact: The majority of players on the Middies are black. The majority of the players in college/NBA are black. There is an increasing number of players in the NFL who are black. Black coaches in the NBA/NFL are on the increase. Black TV sports commentators (and all career paths) are starting to ramp up in number. Yet, if we are to take the overall population of this country, the black population represents, what, 15 to 20%? We have a greater percentage of that now in the player and coaching ranks don't we? What percentage of black participation in both player and coaching would satisfy the Bishop? The major sports are already dominated by blacks, aren't they? (football and basketball more than baseball for now) Is it close to 100% domination that the Bishop and others are shooting for?

I know it is not politically correct to say this, but.......

The minorities (all segments), are using their situation (smaller percentage of the population) to extract a guilty feeling from the majority, that they are entitled to extra-special treatment, simply because they are in the minority. Somehow, sheer lack of numbers have provided leverage for them to be considered "at a disadvantage" by the majority and we have actually bought into it. Society now says it is not acceptable to say anything that may cause "undue inferiority feelings" to those who are considered "minorities". In the meantime, the majority has been placed in an awkward situation of "giving in" at all times so as not to seem callous and insensitive. Does this seem right to any of you? A delicate subject because society has made it so. JMO

Here we go again any one else getting tired of being called a racist when in fact the ones accusing others of it are actualy the racists ?

I am continually amazed by the cry of 'racism". Does it exist? Undoubtably. Will it continue to exist in the future? So long as we continue to identify and categorize people by race, we will continue to suffer from the same problem. Whatever happened to "content of character, not color of skin"? Get the best person for the job, stress character and achievement and live up to the ideals of our national character; not continually put up a "scorecard" that can never be balanced.

As an aside, it would be nice if the district and families in it (no matter the color or neighborhood) would focus more on education and the ability to do basic math, speak basic english, and know basic history and economics, rather than the focus on "games".... after all, that's why we have school, or am I delusional??
