Warren County returns $330K in stimulus funds

Warren County has returned more than $330,000 of stimulus money to the federal government this year. The county is not able to comply with rules attached to the money, but commissioners are not shy to show their distaste for the stimulus money.   ~
A reader's comment was laughable......but likely true.

Warren County should try the "Middletown Plan": Just ignore the rules and regs. Keep moving the money around, tell the feds what they want to hear and use the money however the movers and shakers want you to use it. Oh, and always keep a little off the top, you know, just for expenses and such.

	Laughable??? Maybe, but I don't hear anyone laughing--especially not the taxpayers!!!

	Mike....you're correct. What I was trying to allude to was the fact that people outside of this town are also aware of what goes on here. Us bagholders are the laughing stock of SW Ohio.

	Kudos to Warren County !! I'm glad to see someone in a political position has some actual brains. Not sure why they were unable to comply with the rules but I'm glad they returned it and kept Obama out of their business. I think these so-called stimulus funds are nothing but another way for the fed's to invite themselves further into the lives of it's citizen's. Washington itself is nothing but a scam.
