(i) Approve the purchase of in-line valve insertion equipment for Water Maintenance from Advanced Valve Technologies, Inc., the only bidder, in the amount of $43,178.07. This price includes a trade-in of $10,000 for a Hydra Stop machine

(j) Authorize the City Manager to enter into a professional services agreement with John Hovell for Tax Process Server services

LEGISLATION

1. Ordinance No. O2017-02, an ordinance authorizing an amendment to the Community Reinvestment Area Agreement between City of Middletown, Historic Goetz Tower, LLC and Grassroots Ohio, LLC. (Second Reading)

 

2. Ordinance No. O2017-03, an ordinance authorizing a collective bargaining agreement with the Fraternal Order of Police, Ohio Labor Council (Dispatchers) for the years January 1, 2017 through December 31, 2019, and declaring an emergency.

 

3. Ordinance No. O2017-04, an ordinance establishing a procedure for and authorizing a professional services contract with The Center for Family Solutions to provide victim advocate services, and declaring an emergency.

 

4. Ordinance No. O2017-05, an ordinance establishing a procedure for and authorizing the purchase of two power load systems from Stryker, and declaring an emergency.

 

5. Ordinance No. O2017-06, an ordinance establishing a procedure for and authorizing contracts for grounds maintenance for 2017 and 2018, and declaring an emergency. (No action requested until February 21, 2017)

7. Ordinance No. O2017-08, an ordinance authorizing the City Manager to enter into a contract with the Ohio Department of Transportation for the extension of the Great Miami River Trail. (First Reading)

 

8. Ordinance No. O2017-09, an ordinance changing the zoning classification for Parcel Number Q6542085000016 located at 2717 Yankee Road to I-2 (General Industrial District). (First Reading)

 

9. Resolution No. R2017-04, a resolution to make adjustments to appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures of the City of Middletown, Counties of Butler and Warren, State of Ohio, for the period ending December 31, 2017. (General Fund) (First Reading)

EXECUTIVE SESSION

Under the authority of O.R.C. 121.22 (G) (8) To consider confidential information related to the marketing plans, specific business strategy, production techniques, trade secrets, or personal financial statements of an applicant for economic development assistance, or to negotiations with other political subdivisions respecting requests for economic development assistance, provided that both of the following conditions apply:

(1) The information is directly related to a request for economic development assistance that is to be provided or administered under any provision of Chapter 715., 725., 1724., or 1728. or sections 701.07, 3735.67 to 3735.70, 5709.40 to 5709.43, 5709.61 to 5709.69, 5709.73 to 5709.75, or 5709.77 to 5709.81 of the Revised Code, or that involves public infrastructure improvements or the extension of utility services that are directly related to an economic development project.

(2) A unanimous quorum of the public body determines, by a roll call vote, that the executive session is necessary to protect the interests of the applicant or the possible investment or expenditure of public funds to be made in connection with the economic development project.
