From MJ:
Ex-public works director to return.

Preston Combs, the city’s former Public Works director, will be the interim Public Works and Utilities director until after the first of the year, according to City Manager Judy Gilleland.

Combs will take over for Steve Husemann, who had been the interim director after it was vacated by Dave Duritsch when he left for a job in Kettering. Duritsch left the city in March.

Husemann will continue to serve as part-time interim Human Resources director.

Keeping Husemann around is a total waste!

Agree 409, it is a total waste to keep him around. However Husemann, is a friend of Gilleland and Gilleland owes him a favor for setting her up as city manager. He will probably stay as long as he wishes in some capacity....even if it is not needed. Judith is just keeping it "All In The Family". Within the walls of the city building there resides a close knit little group of "happy secretive people" and their friends, who like to raise the drawbridge over the moat to stop the intrusion of the few who are mad as hell and the majority who don't have a clue what is occuring in the city. A disgusting scenario and will remain so until the people start caring about what is going on in their city.......and doing something about it.
