School Board Brings Back Staff, Extracurriculars
I find this point to be interesting: *Retroactive pay for coaches and advisors I remember the school board specifically stating that coaches and advisors who volunteered their time would only be reimbursed if both levies passed? What brought the school board to this decision? |

Though the community should be grateful for the efforts of all involved in the extracurricular activities I am not sure it is right to pay a volunteer after the fact. To start with that does not appear to be the deal. Also since at the time they were volunteers, were standard procedures followed for reporting their hours? If not how is that being handled now to prevent errors? |

.308 they were only volunteers depending on who was telling the story. It must have changed a dozen times everytime the Middletown Journal Posted it. Sometimes they ran 2 stories in the same day one calling them volunteers and another saying they will defer payment to see if the levy passes.
Much like the Public Safety Levy watch what happens to that one, I can feel the old Lottery switcheroo coming with that fund. Decrease Public Safety spending in the General Fund and use those funds elsewhere and then replace those funds with money from the new Public Safety Levy.
Just like the State does with the Lottery Money and Public Education.
