Taxpayers left frustrated after city’s website fails

MIDDLETOWN — 
Residents attempting to use the city’s website to pay their incomes taxes or water bills earlier this week may have experienced some frustration.
A server failure occurred at about 3:30 a.m. Tuesday, according to Troy Anderton, the city’s information systems manager. The website was partially restored by 7:30 p.m. to enable people to pay their income taxes and water bills.
A function to download tax documents was restored at 8 a.m. today, according to Anderton.
City income taxes must be filed by midnight tonight.
Anderton said the outage was not caused by users downloading city tax forms.

	Good timing! Not to worry. I'm sure the city, as honest as they are, won't consider a penalty for a late filing due to a glitch in their system..........or would they?
	I'm so proud of my hometown and what it has become. Recall 'em all. Let's start over.
