Mr. Beagle, the owner of this blog, selectively screens and edits posts and the title of posts based on his own person bias and political views.

In actuality middielover, if we look at the posts on this forum, we will find a wide array of opinions on many topics. Besides the "non-city" side of things, there are an abundance of posts that support the city side, primarily from Mr Adkins and Chief Muterspaw. If we include the schools in this discussion, we find posts from Marcia Andrew, who, at the time, was President of the School Board. We had some lively discussions about the proficiency results, the indicators, the bond levies for the new schools and about the quality of the school system as well. Sadly, Ison nor any other school board member has been involved. City council has been silent here as well. Guess none of our elected officials think they owe any of us any explanations as to their decisions. Disappointing that they are so full of themselves they don't want to talk to the people who put them in their positions. Must not like confrontation.
Mr. Beagle has allowed both sides to respond on many different topics. IMO, he has demonstrated an unbiased position as to the criteria for posts to remain intact. I also don't see anything wrong with what you have posted here either. The Bohannon discussion is one where a city councilperson with a private business, got caught with the hand in the taxpayer cookie jar to help his private business, using a program set up by the city itself, and is yet another example of how the city takes care of their inner circle friends. Again, they leave the people, who supply the funding through taxes out of the loop......until they are caught that is. We should all demand that Bohannon and the others pay back the money and disband all programs that elude to financial inproprities. Knowing the people who run the city, that won't be done. The right thing to do is not on the agenda. Like most things, done underhanded by the city, this too, will be forgotten over time. That is the tactic used by government officials at any level from city, townships, state, to the feds. They do something ethically wrong. They are caught. It is reported. There is an outcry. They intentionally don't respond. It goes away over time and is forgotten about by the public. Then, business as usual. Politicians do this as well. They screw up and get caught. It is reported by the news media and plastered all over the nightly news. They retreat to their comfort zone to let time pass and then they resurface to resume their activities and if they resigned, come back in another position. The public outcry should be to demand that the story be revisited by the media in a "where are they and what are they doing now" type of story. The media never follows up on these people to keep them in line and to assure the public doesn't forget. The lousy Journal certainly won't indict their pals in city hall either. They are in the business of reporting the "good news" about the city, not reality nor the truth. JMO |

I'm so proud of my hometown and what it has become. Recall 'em all. Let's start over.
