Dr. Price and crew are going to start a program for freshmen to offer them a smooth transition into high school. This "new" program sounds alot like the program they had at Garfield, where they provided an alternative to the typical high school environment for kids that just couldn't adapt to traditional teaching. They will hire two additional teachers to the tune of $100 grand and add this cost to a district that is always strapped for cash. Isn't this just a repeat of an earlier program which was in place before they tore Garfield down? SENIOR DIrector Betsy Carter says this program will "dive into and REALLY address the specific needs". Wow, Ms. Carter, that's sounds almost----- REVOLUTIONARY!!!! The only problem is---- it's been done before.
