"We're just not set up"

Just watched the April 7th Council meeting. At the 31:10 mark in Part 1, Mr. Mulligan, after hearing a request for an answer from citizens comments states- " We just aren't set up to answer questions" (relating to citizens comments). Mulligan, this is EXACTLY the right time to discuss and answer any question asked of your little council. What a pathetic excuse to dismiss a citizens question! Mulligan mentions this twice in the citizen comments portion of the meeting. If one gets no answer to a question asked, what is the purpose of the exercise? As the TV Middletown camera pans the councilmembers, they sit there in silence trying their best to listen intently.I would suggest that the new council members (hopefully after the gutting of council in the November elections),change this to address the concerns of the people and not dismiss their comments as not important. Another topic concerned the various organizers of the youth sports programs in town. Seems like they have the programs under control and are doing a fine job providing activities for our kids. Why not leave them alone to do their good work? Why does the city want to push them out after they have developed a workable program? Another example of the city gov. not cooperating with the people. This dictatorial, dismissive behavior from council needs to go in November.
