Pep rally to honor Middie football players

By News Staff

MIDDLETOWN — A community pep rally has been scheduled to celebrate the two Middletown High School football players who helped Ohio State to the national championship.

Rashad Frazier and Jalin Marshall will be honored at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 25 at Wade Miller gym, said Mark Kerns, retired MHS teacher. Kerns said the event is free and open to the public. He said two Middletown football players may never play together again on a national champion team.

Last week, Ohio State upset Oregon 42-20 in the first college football playoffs. Frazier is a defensive lineman and Marshall is an H-back.
