The Middletown board of education met at 7:30 this morning in the district's administrative office to make the vote to put the tax issue on the August ballot. The levy request on the August 7 ballot will ask for $6.07 million, $1.5 million less than they asked for last time, and hopefully enough to satisfy the voters who voted down the recent levy. The amount was lowered due to a speculated funding increase from the state in the coming years.
