A 9-million dollar travel plaza is in the works off of Ohio 123 at the I-71 interchange. This development will be the first site on a 380-acre development district that is planned to be formed around the interchange.
The Pilot Flying J Travel Center is planned in hopes of drawing restaurants, hotels and other developments usually found around a travel center, as well as manufacturing, corporate headquarters or office campuses.
This center is expected to include a number of facilities, including a deli, a Wendy’s and two sets of fuel pumps which will be on the land around an existing Country Kitchen restaurant.
Lebanon and Turtle Creek Township plan to form a joint economic district as part of a cooperative plan to extend the sewer lines to all four corners of the I-71 interchange without annexation by Lebanon.
Additionally, there are plans to improve the surrounding road network but not the interchange.
