The Menus at Broad Street Bash
Monday, June 30, 2008 12:46:11 PM - Middletown Ohio
Broad Street Bash

This weeks Broad Street Bash, scheduled for Wednesday, July 2, will be featuring both A Taste of Middletown and the popular Cincinnati rock band, The Menus.

The Menus, known for their comical stage acts and off-the-wall antics and apparel, have created quite the wake in Middletown as word spread of their scheduled appearance at this years annual Broad Street Bash.  Director of business, Adriane Scherrer, has commented how she expects The Menus to be a major attraction and that several people have been asking her, “Just how did you get The Menus?”.  With tickets being bought and plans being made for attending this weeks performance, you can expect this to be a wild night.

The Menus played their first gig in 1984 at a small west-side bar called Destiny One and have been around for over 20 years, outliving many other bands, bars, and have seen the departure of half a dozen members.  The current five, Mr. Goldrainer, Mr. Ryan, Jimi Orwig, Stephen Chiodi and John Castetter, have been together for over 10 years starting in January 1998.  Having been together “from hairless armpits to balding scalps”, The Menus have become one of the most famous and recognized bands in the Ohio-Kentucky area.  If you’ve never experienced The Menus live, we strongly urge you to go to this weeks Broad Street Bash to see exactly what you’ve been missing.

Also scheduled for this weeks BSB, is a communal dinner with an array of food, sponsored by We Can Business Incubator.  This sit down meal prior to the bash will feature lasagna from Stefano’s Italian Café, Cheesecake from Baileys Cheesecake, custom salad dressing from Flour and Flower, Garlic Bread and Non-Alcoholic Red Wine from Krogers, and tons of other food from many of the local businesses helping organize this event.  There will be two servings, one at 5 and another at 5:45 pm.  Reservations for this meal are not required, but greatly appreciated.  Reservations can be made for this meal by calling (513) 705-4100 or can be made the day of the event.
