Real shame they just didn't continue to collect taxes dedicated to street repair and maintenance, instead of using it to pay for employee salaries or The Atrium's property. Sure bet all those on Thornhill will be having this done. Forget the city, neighbors will just go out and take bids for it. Most would think roads and briedges are a fundamental right. Isn't that what the Ohio gas tax is to be used for? Another blatant reason why the city cayses property vales to go down. So many people lining up to get out of Middletown, this only adds to it. Constitutional challenge on the way. Domeone get Sony Lewis from Franklin into Middletown PLEASE! | 1/29/2011 2:29:20 PM | midres | I may be wrong, but, if I remember the discussion correctly, such a petition would be in addition to the funds currently budgeted for street repairs should yours not be on that list for the current year. Also, if memory serves me correctly, Thornhill is a private street maintained by those residents living there. It is not maintained by the city. If I am incorrect, perhaps someone more knowledgable would please correct me. |
