For the 6th year Start Skydiving will be holding its Work Stinks! Boogie at the Middletown Regional Airport. This year’s event will bring in over 300 skydivers to the area for 6 days of jumping and entertainment. In addition to providing the skydiving community wonderful resources of professional skydivers, gear vendors, and a variety of planes to jump from, Start Skydiving will be putting on a considerable amount of entertainment open to the public. Various community charities and organizations will also be represented, including the Team Jacob Foundation and the Sgt James C. Robinson Memorial Scholarship.
Beginning at 8pm on Friday August 29th there will be a live performance from Full Service as well as a lantern lighting in memory of long time employee Sarah Rhoads. Saturday evening, August 30st, will be a night to remember with a performance from Long Hard Ride - Marshall Tucker Tribute followed by Whipping Post - Allman Brothers Tribute starting at 8pm. The live entertainment will be followed by a fireworks display sponsored by Selection.com, and a pyrotechnic jump by Team Fastrax.
All of these events are open to the public and Start Skydiving hopes to see a lot of the community come out to join in the events. There will be a parking fee of $5 upon arrival.
