The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) network has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Southern Ohio District of SCORE, the Service Core of Retired Executives, to coordinate services and resources in SW Ohio. Comprised of volunteers from the business world, SCORE services include counseling, business seminars and written briefs on everything from managing cash flow to strategic planning.
For Middletown businesses this means that additional specialized counselors will be available to assist small business owners and entrepreneurs with growth and business issues, as well as offer a wide range of low-cost and free services.
The Southern Ohio District of SCORE is headquartered in Cincinnati and has chapters in Columbus, Dayton, Newark, Chillicothe and Marietta. In the greater Cincinnati area there are satellite offices in West Chester, Lebanon, Fairfield, and Lawrenceburg, Ind. Counselors from the Cincinnati satellite offices will be available in Middletown and coordinated through the SBDC office in the Economic Development Department.
