They don't deserve some remembering? And befor you say it is a generic term that covers them all...I say, tell that to a marine. | 6/3/2011 9:40:56 AM | Deb Morrison | I want to thank everyone that was in attendance at Middletown Cemetery on Saturday May 28, 2011 for the "Remembering Our Soldiers" event.
Boy Scout Troop 572 Middletown, Middletown Combined Honor Guard, Ladies from the Daughters of the American Revolution, Representative from Rolling Thunder Ohio Chapter 11, Members of the Middletown Cemetery Board, Mayor Larry Mulligan, and the public.
The Boy Scouts placed flags on each of the 238 Veterans Graves. If any of these Veterans Graves were missed we are sorry and will make sure it does not happen next year. The Middletown Combined Honor Guard along with The Boy Scouts and Citizens, raised new flags on the Flagpole in Front of the Cemetery which was adorned with newly planted flowers.
This is a yearly event the Saturday before Memorial Day and we hope that you keep us in mind next year and Invite you to attend this event.
Thank you all again

I think that is an ignorant remark! Remembering our Soldiers was for all men and women who served in any branch of the service no matter which one. Were you at the Event? If not, then you missed seeing the Boy Scouts Marking all Veterans Graves.. ARMY>NAVY>AIR FORCE> MARINES>COASTGUARD. And you missed the 21 Gun Salute to all Veterans. So I say there is no need to complain on an event that I can bet you did not attend. |
