by Kerri & Chris Wachtel
Tournament Directors

The entry deadline for the Wilson Tour for Hope Tournament in Cincinnati is fast approaching.  The entry deadline is Monday, January 26.  The tournament, January 30, 31 and February 1, is a great weekend of fun and racquetball.  All of the proceeds from this event go to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

This tournament is a WPRO and IRT satellite event.  Players entering those divisions will earn WPRO and IRT ranking points.  Several of the top professional players have committed to attend, including #2 ranked Cheryl Gudinas Holmes, #4 ranked Kerri Wachtel, #7 ranked Adrienne Fisher and # 23 ranked Krystal Csuk.

Players may enter 2 divisions.  A 3rd division is permitted if it is a Mixed Doubles Division.  Consolation brackets will be offered according to court availability.  The Mixed Pro/Open Doubles division will have a drop down draw, so players in this division will be guaranteed tw o matches.

Play will begin on Friday night so that we can finish up early enough on Sunday for everyone to get home to watch the SuperBowl.  This is a USAR/ORA sanctioned event.  You must be a member to play.  If you are not a member, memberships will be available at the tournament.  To encourage maximum participation, we are discounting the cost of the membership fees offering the following special rates: (for new members only).  At this tournament, the cost of a Full Year Membership is $20 or you can get a Limited Athlete Weekend License for FREE!.  A Full Year Membership will allow you to receive numerous benefits throughout the year including Racquetball Magazine.

You'll start at check-in by picking up your welcome packet and souvenir shirt.  All day hospitality will be provided to include breakfast, lunch and dinner.  Pizza, from a great local pizza joint, will be served for dinner on Friday.  Bagels and juice will be provided for breakfast on Saturday.  Saturday lunch is being catered by one of our CourtHouse Fitness Center members and dinner is being provided by the Olive Garden.

Our host hotel is the Kings Island Resort.  The room rate is $64 + tax.  You can register online at www.kingsislandresort.com or call (800) 727-3050.

You can sign up online for the tournament online at  www.r2sports.com or send an email to amkulback@yahoo.com.

The entry deadline is Monday, January 26th.  Do not miss out on this great weekend of racquetball.
