Prom is a very important social event for juniors and seniors in high school. The cost for attending a prom however can be very expensive, even more so to get everything exactly how you want it. Between the right dress and tuxedo, the tickets, dinner, shoes, accessories and countless other incidentals that can go along with attending a prom, the cost can all add up very quickly. .
This year the Middletown High School students are determined to not skip the dance due to the costs and the struggling economy. In an interview with Meagan Engle of the Middletown Journal senior Matt McKee said money may be tight right now but it is worth the price. He also said he knows it is going to be a lot of fun and can’t wait for prom to come.
This year Middletown high school students will be hold their prom at the Sharonville Convention Center. The tickets will be $45 a piece. The theme for the prom this year is Masquerade. Meghan O’Hea told the Journal that the expense is worth it as prom is something you will remember for your whole life. She is not planning on cutting her expenses since it is her senior year and reports many other kids in her class feel the same way.
