Performing Arts Academy Play and Audition Announcements
Tuesday, June 14, 2016 8:07:57 AM - Middletown Ohio

Tickets are available of the Performing Arts Academy’s production of “Guys and Dolls” on June 17 – 19.

Hailed as the perfect Broadway musical, Guys and Dolls has entertained audiences for decades with its light-hearted comedy and classic music, including “Sit Down, You’re Rockin’ the Boat,” “Luck Be a lady,” and the title song of the show, “Guys and Dolls.”

Set in Damon Runyon's mythical New York City, Guys and Dolls is an oddball romantic comedy. Gambler Nathan Detroit tries to find the cash to set up the biggest craps game in town while the authorities breathe down his neck; meanwhile, his girlfriend, nightclub performer Adelaide, laments that they've been engaged for 14 years. Nathan turns to fellow gambler Sky Masterson for the dough, but Sky ends up chasing the straight-laced missionary Sarah Brown. Guys And Dolls takes us from the heart of Times Square to the cafes of Havana, Cuba, and even into the sewers of New York City, but eventually everyone ends up right where they belong.

Performances are 7:00 PM June 17 & 18 and 3:00 PM June 19 at the Performing Arts Academy Theatre, 4400 Lewis Street, Middletown.

Tickets are $14 each for adults and $10 each for Sr. Adults 65 and over and $10 each for children age 10 and under.  To purchase tickets, visit www.theperformingartsacademy.com and follow the Yapsody link.
