Ohio Lt. Honored Guests include:
•    Lt. Governor Lee Fisher, director of the Ohio Department of Development, and champion of the state’s efforts to retain, attract and create jobs and grow Ohio’s economy.
•    Lawrence Mulligan, Mayor, City of Middletown.
•    Executive teams and employees from Paychex North America, State Farm and East Pointe Dental, new East Pointe tenants. Paychex is a national payroll, HR and benefits outsourcing firm, bringing more than 100 jobs to Middletown and Warren County from this consolidated location.
•    Development leaders from Al. Neyer, Inc., East Pointe developer
WHEN: Tuesday, July 14, 2009; Noon – 1:30 p.m.
WHERE: East Pointe at Renaissance District, 3420 Atrium Boulevard., Middletown, OH 45005

Mayor Lawrence Mulligan and City Council members will welcome Ohio Lt. Governor Lee Fisher, city officials and business and economic development leaders to the City’s Renaissance District for a ribbon cutting ceremony July 14 at 12:15 p.m. to mark the official opening of East Pointe, a $35+ million office development in the City’s Renaissance District near its Interstate 75 interchange at State Route 122 in Warren County.  The ceremony also recognizes the commitment of Paychex as the project’s largest tenant as well as the public commitment of the State of Ohio in the form of a $2.16 million Job Ready Sites program grant. City of Middletown also contributed as a development partner, offering tax incentives to help Paychex with its move to East Pointe.

Paychex Branch Manager Marcia Paulick noted, “Our enhanced headquarters will help us better serve all of our clients and will provide a sustainable environment for our talented staff, which aligns with our mission of environmentally responsible delivery of services.” The Paychex office space is registered with the U.S. Green Building Council for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED)-Silver Certification for Commercial Interiors. Paychex is a leading national provider of payroll, human resource, and benefits outsourcing solutions for small- to medium-sized businesses.

The Lieutenant Governor, Mayor Lawrence Mulligan, Warren County Economic Development Director Kimm Coyner, Al. Neyer Vice President Christopher Dobrozsi and Ms. Paulick will speak at a 12:15 p.m. ceremony outside of East Pointe, Building 200, during which Lt. Gov. Fisher will emphasize Ohio’s economic development tools, such as the Job Ready Sites program grants, that enabled the development of East Pointe.  About 50 are expected to attend. Mayor Mulligan will remark about the importance of partnership to the momentum of development projects.

“This partnership shows that Middletown, Ohio, is a good place for business growth,” he said. “East Pointe represents another tipping point for Middletown’s economy in a positive way. We are becoming defined by the new economy service, technology, research and health care jobs that are pointing us into our future as a regional leader.”
“East Pointe is new and green and a smart option for corporate office users,” according to David F. Neyer, president and CEO of Al. Neyer, Inc. Al. Neyer is the project developer providing design-build services on the project. Paychex occupied about half of the building in April 2009. East Pointe is registered for LEED-Silver Certification as a core & shell project. LEED certification provides independent, third-party verification that a building project meets the highest green building and performance measures.
