The Ohio House of Representatives has already approved a bill that would require a police officer to be present at the location of the red-light cameras in order to process any red-light violations.
State Representative Jim Raussen, of Springdale, wants more restrictions on red-light cameras which are used to catch drivers who run red lights. His bill, Ohio Bill 56 would ban the use of unmanned red-light cameras like the ones being used in Middletown.
The Ohio House Senate could vote on SB 56 this in the next 2 months.
