New Service For Seniors Seeking Living Care Options

New Service For Seniors Seeking Living Care Options

More than 50 million people, one in five adults, will provide care for a chronically ill, disabled or elderly family member or friend during the coming year. Juggling the needs of that loved one with the challenges of living one’s own life is sometimes overwhelming.  When a loved one can no longer live on their own, an assisted living, nursing or other care facility is often needed. Add in the stress of sometimes needing to make arrangements quickly for a loved one and the result can be a hastily made decision that may or may not be the best. That’s when Tim Rudd’s services are most valuable.

Tim Rudd (left) has recently opened Assisted Transition of Southwest Ohio at 1061 N University Blvd in Middletown.  The franchise, one of only 49 in the country and the only one in Southwestern Ohio, has information from first-hand visits and research on most of the facilities in Butler, Warren, Montgomery and Preble Counties.

Rudd has built a database of each local senior living community and knows the level of care available with the particular amenities at each place.  By meeting personally with his clients to learn their medical needs, financial situation, geographic area and other desired amenities, he can recommend just the right living community.  He will personally escort clients and their families on tours of facilities under consideration.

The service comes at no charge to the client. With hundreds of facilities available in the Butler, Warren, Montgomery and Preble County area, he has many choices available for each client.

According to Rudd, “With so many living options and communities to choose from, I can promise my clients that I have their interest at heart and will do my very best to see that they are happy in their new home.”

How Assisted Transition can benefit you:

  • In 2009, there were over 39,500 Assisted Living Communities & 34,000 Board & Care Homes in the U.S.—far too many options for seniors and their families to visit on their own.
  • The average cost for 24-hour home care is over $13,685 a month, not including any other living expenses. The national average for an assisted living facility is $3,293 a month.
  • Many assisted living facilities specialize in Memory Care for residents with Dementia and Alzheimer’s.
  • Assisted Transition works with each client, customizing their living options to the senior’s level of care, financial, and geographic preferences.
  • Once Assisted Transition finds the best options for a client, they tour the living communities, at no charge, with the client and their families. This helps clients see their options and decide what community is the best choice for them.

The Assisted Transition franchise system, a free Elder Care Referral Service, is based in California.  Finding local, long term care for every senior is their specialty.  They take away the confusion and help seniors understand what option is best for them.  Rudd recently completed extensive training at the Assisted Transition offices in Long Beach, California, learning how best to match a client with just the right facility

Rudd, a Middletown native, holds a BS in Business from Miami University Oxford. His 30-year work history includes several top level executive marketing and product management positions.   His interest in working directly with people to help them solve problems led him to the Assisted Transition opportunity.

A long-time community volunteer, he has served on the Miami University Advisory Board for the School of Business Technology, the Community Advisory Board for Middletown City Schools, the Hispanic Construction Advisory Board, the Middletown Area Schools Credit Union Board and the Wildwood Golf Club Board of Directors.  He has helped coach youth baseball, basketball and soccer, and recently  served as the announcer at the Middletown High School Men’s Varsity Soccer games.

The new Assisted Transition business is now ready to match people and services and is often referred by area doctors, hospitals, ministers and care providers.

Call or email Tim Rudd at 513.318.8157 or trudd@assistedtransition.com for information on the service. The website is:http://www.assistedtransition.com/southwestohio
