New Company in Middletown Adding Jobs |

One of the new companies in Middletown is now considering relocating 35 to 40 jobs from a Las Vegas facility to its facility that is at the Greentree Industrial Park. On Tuesday, March 3rd Denise Hamet who is the economic development program manager told Middletown City Council that the proposed PAC Worldwide Holding Corp. relocation would bring the additional jobs and an additional annual payroll of $1.1 million within the next 12 months.
Other than just the additional positions of operators, packers, management and administration, the company would be able to relocate five pieces of equipment valued at $2.3 million to the Middletown plant. At the meeting on Tuesday council was considering authorizing City Manager Judy Gilleland to enter into a Job Creation Incentive Grant Agreement.
Recently PAC was one of either business the Ohio Tax Credit Authority approved for Job Creation Tax Credits. The PAC manufactures packaging materials including bubble wrap, laminated products and padded mailers. The final action will be at the March 17th meeting.
Since PAC has combined its West Chester Twp. and Lebanon operations into a $15 million, 350,000 square-foot facilities located in Middletown that was built in 2007. These brought 157 employees in 2007 and in January of 2009 had created 26 new jobs.
