Activity at Kazaa has shown no decline this week despite the record industry's legal assault on pirates. "Ironically, usage this week and this month is up," Eric Garland, a spokesman for BigChampagne, a research firm, told Reuters. He said the number of people using file-sharing services has risen 20% since August.
The return of college students to campuses, and broadband Net access, could account for the growing file-swapping traffic. |
