In the 1980’s, Beverly Donaldson began her career in the nursing field, and in March she is set to open her 16th assisted living facility. The Inn at Renaissance Village is located on Union Road and is an $11 million, 101 bed building. Donaldson and her father, a local builder opened one of the first 24 hour care assisted living facilities in Ohio, together they have provided an atmosphere unlike most other facilities of their kind. The medical director of The Inn at Renaissance Village, Dr. Kirk Smith, told the Middletown Journal that the facility will offer its residents a “higher quality of life and care.” The facility will give its residents the ability to come and go as they please and allow family and friends to join them for meals. Donaldson said “this is their home and if grandkids want to spend the night then why not?”
The Inn will bring up to 100 new jobs to Middletown in positions like nursing, dietary care, housekeeping, maintenance and activities. There will be an open house on Saturday March 14th from 1 to 4 p.m. at 4375 Union Road in Middletown. Anyone interested in touring the facility should attend.
