In the public, the hiring of firms to condicut a search is just a joke and what a waste of money. They use the silly vernacular as if they have some special methodology that goes through the deep vetting process. In reality, those that are ien for a job, especially on thin ice, are receptive to a school district like Middletown. You don't need a search firm to do that, but with the school board, who wants to do heaviy lifting? What a continued pattern of wasteful spending. It just keeps going on. Why wouldn't the interim head super also have responsibilities for finding his replacement? Too late, firm been hired, and the results will be par for course. If they had forward thinking, they'd hire an assistant super who was charged to regain credibility and results, and then move on to a better district after making some strides. But, this Board will not think that way. They know it would be an honor to serve in Middletown district. |
