Billings | I would suggest also that the City of Middletown Police Department invest in some additional street officers that are more capable than some that I have came across as of recently. My family and I continue to see the one female officer in particular, either directing traffic or at other business establishments, with behavior not becoming of an officer. When you represent the community and have the safety of the people in your hands, the way you converse to the people, and the type of language used says a lot about that particular person. An officer, of course, is more under scrutiny more than others, as they are supposed to have a "respectful" job, and ACT respectful among the citizens of Middletown. Officer B. Luekhardt certainly does not represent her department with respect. Show some dignity for God's sakes! Cut out the bad language around families and those you represent and have some self respect. | 3/17/2009 7:47:50 AM | Lance Greenberg | I guess all I can say to this, is go file a complaint with the city or her superior officer there at the police department. I had an issue several years ago, and did this, and things seem to have gotten resolved. I had my own business for many years and would not tolerate any disrespect out of my employees towards ANYONE, especially the general public, as people fail to remember we are being watch all the time. Particularly, if you have a job that attracts the attention of its' citizens, like the police department. It could be this officer is new on the job, or unsure how to handle various situations that might arise on her job. Unfortunately, these people are among us, and with a job such as this, there's no room for not having self control. | 4/3/2009 6:59:11 AM | Chris A. | All I can say to this is that I can add my own 2 cents here from personal experience, but my advice is to file a formal complaint with the police department. Protecting the citizens is no job for idiots that can't conduct themselves according to the standards and guidelines laid out for them by the Department. I was an officer for many years, retired after 25 years of service in Kentucky. We did not tolerate this kind of disrespect from our officers, and were either reprimanded or placed elsewhere within the department. I'm not sure what Middletown's tolerance level is, but maybe this should all be fowarded to Chief Schwarber ? | 4/28/2009 6:00:11 AM | T. Collins | These complaints need to go directly to the chief. Chief Schwarber is pretty good about knowing what is going on at the P.D, here in Middletown, but this is a problem with this female officer, and no one is filing complaints on this officer, who obviously is not taking her job seriously, then then it's going to continue, and nothing will be done about it. I am unaware of how many city officials look over this website but maybe someone could forward this to the chief, if they know his city email or someone in charge at the P.D. Stupidity doesn't belong in the police department among officers. There's no room for it. |
