The city of Middletown has landed a $491,000 grant to pay for the environmental remediation of a Miami Packaging plant at 1704 Reinartz Blvd.
The 10-acre site could be the future home of an automotive industry supplier, Advanced Design Solutions Inc. The company makes steel handling containers, racks and bins. It wants to bring 50 jobs to the old Miami Packaging facility, according to a state press release announcing three Clean Ohio Assistance Fund grants approved by the state controlling board Monday.
The other projects were in Youngstown and Ashtabula.
