Middletown Exhibit Center Available for Use
Wednesday, February 18, 2004 5:03:26 PM - Middletown Ohio
Middletown Convention and Visitors Bureau is taking a major step forward in its renewed effort to bring people and business to Middletown. The City of Middletown has recently released the use of a building at the intersections of Broad Ave, Verity Parkway and Central Avenue for use as the Middletown Exhibit Center.

Dave Pearce, president of the CVB, said, “The 41,000 square feet of exhibit space opens a completely new opportunity for the CVB to bring large and small exhibits, trade shows, car shows, quilt shows and other regional events to Middletown.”

The building is easily accessible for shows with vehicles or other large equipment. Loading docks, 10 foot ceiling clearance, an attached 700 space parking garage and 20 foot booth space divider poles with electrical outlets add to the amenities.

Formerly housing Swallen’s, a large discount store, the building has been empty for several years as Middletown removed the roof of a once-covered downtown mall. The building was pressed into use for the local Chamber of Commerce’s business expo last fall. Having demonstrated its worthiness as an exhibit center it will now be made available to groups or businesses wishing to use the building for events that will bring in guests from outside Middletown.

According to Pearce, “The space is perfect for any number of events. Our mission is to bring guests into Middletown, the addition of this huge space to our offerings should make Middletown an attractive place to hold events that seek a central location in the middle of the Dayton/Cincinnati metro area, with easy access from the I-75 corridor and a small town atmosphere.”

“Events managers scheduling in the early months of operation will find we offer a very, very attractive contract,” said Pearce.

According to a CVB spokesperson, the building is now empty with no events scheduled, so the calendar is wide open for any group to use immediately.

For additional information about use of the building and scheduling, please contact the Middletown Convention and Visitors Bureau at 513-422-3030 or Send an Email
